Kyrsten Sinema has just announced she’s retiring from the Senate at the end of the year and is not running for re-election in Arizona.

Below is the announcement:

“I will leave the Senate at the end of this year.”

This leaves a two-way race between Gallego (D) and Lake (R). Gallego is currently polling in the lead over Lake and Sinema, with Sinema claiming 22% of the vote as an independent. Gee, I wonder where most of the 22% is going to go…

Yeah, I don’t think this is good news for Lake.
