MAJOR UPDATE: PAXTON ACQUITTED ON ALL ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT

Ken Paxton has been acquitted by the state Senate Republicans in Texas this morning on most articles of impeachment. The vote began a couple of hours ago and on article after article, Paxton has been acquitted.

 
Jenna Ellis has been following this closely and thus far they have acquitted Paxton on 13 out of 16 articles of impeachment. Here’s the latest tweets from her:

For the most part the votes have been 14 Yays and 16 Nays. I believe I read that they need 21 Yays to convict.

I’ll update you as soon as I know more about the remaining articles.

UPDATE: On all remaining articles, Paxton has been acquitted. He has clearly won the day!
