Last night Jewish students had to have several police officers escort them home after a protest outside an Undergraduate Student Government meeting got violent.

While at the student government meeting, members of ASU’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine as well as socialist students wanted to pass a bill supporting BDS. But both the student body president and the senate president refused to let the bill be heard.

Students who had gathered outside the building began throwing rocks at the windows of the meeting room at some point after some of the SJP students and the socialist students walked out. You can hear one student in the video below say “Israelis hate rocks.”

According to reports, police cut the meeting short because of the rock throwing:

Pro-Hamas students in the ASU student government demanded an Anti-Israel BDS Resolution tonight at ASU. The Student Body President and Senate President refused to let it be heard and the SJP/Pro-Hamas students began throwing rocks at windows in the ASU building.

Police surrounded the situation and meeting was cut short.

You probably won’t hear it from the media!

Below is video of the Jewish students, who had to exit through a back door, being escorted by police back to their home:

Tonight close to 20 Jewish students at @ASU had to leave a campus building thru a back door with a police escort together with their @Chabad Rabbi Shmuel Teichtel to return to the Chabad House for safety after a Antisemitic incident.

The students attended a Arizona State University @ASU student organization meeting that was to be a open and constructive dialogue on BDS of Israel, with both Jewish and Muslim – Pro Israel and Pro Palestinian students presenting their perspectives.

Students speak on the video as they walk with the police escort that they do not feel safe on campus as the meeting ended abruptly with acts of violence, throwing rocks at the building and windows and shouting death threats.

According to what I’ve read, no arrests were made because they couldn’t figure out who was throwing rocks.
