Vice President JD Vance, in the most diplomatic way possible, told the certain crowds on the right to cool their jets about Charlie Kirk.
He didn’t name names, nor did he identify even the issue he’s referring to, but it’s pretty clear who he’s talking to: Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens.
Here’s what he said:
To my friends on the political Right: I understand the feeling that people are putting words into Charlie Kirk’s mouth. At some level, I agree and share your frustration.
Try to remember: a lot of people loved Charlie. It is natural for them to debate his views and his legacy. In fact, I think Charlie would welcome that.
But for now, let’s celebrate our friend, remember his impact, and save the debate for after his funeral.
We told you earlier about the pushback Tucker got from Ted Cruz, and Cruz is just one of many. People are also pissed off at Candace Owens for claiming that Kirk was becoming Catholic, when that’s absolutely not true. She may also be pushing the anti-Israel idea with Kirk as well, just like Tucker.
In short, JD Vance is really sending them a message. Will it work? Probably not.
