Hunter Biden’s just had his tax charges dismissed by the federal judge in Delaware overseeing his case.
This comes after the sweetheart deal he’d worked out with the DOJ fell through when the judge realized they were trying to give him immunity from prosecution.
Here’s more from Fox News:
Hunter Biden’s misdemeanor tax charges have been dismissed by a federal judge in Delaware, an expected move after his “sweetheart” plea deal fell through last month during his first court appearance in the case.
Biden’s attorneys and Special Counsel David Weiss are still fighting over a diversion agreement concerning his felony gun charge that would allow him to avoid any jail time. Weiss has indicated he plans to potentially take Biden to trial in the future in either Washington, D.C. or California.
I don’t think this is the end of the tax charges. According to Techno Fog last week, the prosecutors wanted them dismissed so they could be filed in another venue. Perhaps DC or California:
Hopefully the charges get resurrected by Weiss because that was a big deal. But that remains to be seen…
