Fox News Congressional correspondent Chad Pergram is reporting this morning that the House is very close to forcing a floor vote on releasing the Epstein files.
All but one Democrat has signed the petition and only four Republicans have, bringing the total just shy of the 218 needed. They have 215 now and will soon have 2016 when Rep. Swalwell signs it this week.
Thomas Massie, Lauren Boebert, Nancy Mace and Marjorie Taylor Greene are the four Republicans forcing the vote with Democrats.
Here’s more from Pergram:
From colleague Tyler Olson. The discharge petition from Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Ro Khanna (D-CA) to force a House vote on releasing the Epstein files is at 215 signatures this morning — three short of the 218 they need.
Massie, Boebert, Mace and GreeneGa remain the only four Republicans to sign the petition.
As of now, 211 of 212 House Democrats have signed the petition. Rep. Swalwell (D-CA) was out last week after his mother passed and said he’ll sign the petition when he gets back to DC. That will bring the total to 216.
