The House of Representatives just overwhelmingly passed a bill that will force TikTok to cut ties with Bytedance, their Chinese owner, or face a total ban in the US.
Here’s the breakdown:
It’s really hard to believe that 65 members would vote against this, including 15 Republicans. (I’ll name them here as soon as the roll call is released.) But what isn’t hard to believe is that Chinese spy Christine Fang’s boyfriend was one of them:
This isn’t about speech. This is about the Chinese government spying on Americans through one of their apps.
