Hezbollah is continuing to hit targets in Israel, firing new missiles this morning at an IDF military base near the Israeli-Lebanon border.

The missiles hit and did damage, but they missed their target. Here’s the reporting:

“Around noon today (Nov 4), possibly 2 short range ballistic missiles have hit in close proximity to an IDF base on the border with Lebanon. Multiple smaller munitions followed. Although the base sustained minimal damage, this signals a major escalation between Hezbollah and Israel on the northern front.”

 
“Update????Hezbollah affiliate Al-Mayadeen TV network reported that Hezbollah fired 2 Burkan rockets, which are SHORT RANGE BALLISTIC MISSILES as we said, at an Israeli military post. A Lebanese security official also confirmed the report of Burkan rockets being used for the first time.”

 
According to OSINTdefender, these rockets carry a payload of 100-500kg warhead:

“Hezbollah launched a Significant Escalation earlier today when it attempted to Target multiple Israeli Bases on the Border with Southern Lebanon using “Burkan” Rockets which reportedly have a Range of 500 Meters and can carry a 100-500kg Warhead; the Rockets appear to have Missed the Base but still likely caused Damage to the Surrounding Area.”

 
As a result, the IDF responded with airstrikes hitting important targets in Southern Lebanon:

“IDF: In response to the fire from Lebanon toward Israeli territory earlier today, IDF fighter jets struck Hezbollah terror targets over the last hour, in parallel to IDF tank and artillery strikes. The Hezbollah targets struck include terror infrastructure, rocket storage sites, and military compounds.”
