Last week we told you about the horrific killings by gunman Keith Melvin Moses, who murdered a woman and then later returned to the scene and murdered a journalist.

Moses also went into a nearby home and shot a mother and her 9-year-old child, killing the child.

Now Governor DeSantis wants answers as to why Moses, a known gang member, was allowed to remain on the streets despite a recent and extensive criminal record that includes attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery, among others.

Yesterday his office wrote a letter to State Attorney Monique Worrell demanding information from her office on why Moses hasn’t been prosecuted and put behind bars.

This is the necessary first step for DeSantis’ office to build their case against Worrell.

If they don’t get the information they seek or they do get it and it shows Worrell complicit in allowing Moses to remain on the streets, you can be sure that DeSantis will soon have her removed. This is a matter of public safety and DeSantis won’t dilly dally on this.

DeSantis has already removed former Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren and he won in court on the removal. I predict Worrell is about to suffer the same fate.
