Tonight CNN revealed new details from police about the failed Trump assassin, including the bombs he made which were remote control, of which he had on his person.
Here’s the report from CNN’s John Miller:
Curtis Houck summarizes it for us:
– He went into work at a nursing home and asked off for Saturday, but told coworkers he’d see them on Sunday
– Earlier in the day, he went through Secret Service security WITH his rangefinder and scoped out the snipers, who spotted him and said they need to keep an eye on him.
– Detonators for the explosives in his car were found on him on the roof with three, fully loaded magazines of nearly 100 rounds and a bulletproof vest.
More specifically on the second detail, he used his rangerfinder to check out the snipers. They reported that they saw him looking at him through his rangefinder.
The explosives in his van were IEDs and were remote controlled. He had the remote controls on him, as well as the loaded magazines and the bulletproof vest.
I honestly don’t know why he had a bulletproof vest on because there was no way he was leaving that rooftop even if he had succeeded.
