CNN has obtained the 2021 audio of Trump showing off the classified Iran attack plans that were created for him by General Milley.

They aired it first thing on CNN’s Anderson Cooper. I’ve got it cued up to 47 seconds below:

Some people are saying this proves Trump lied in his interview with Fox News the other day. Just for comparison, here’s the audio of that segment in his interview:

In the 2021 audio above, it does sound like Trump is showing them the actual document, or a copy of the actual document of the Iran attack plans. It doesn’t sound like he’s showing off newspapers and magazines. After all, how would a super secret classified document like this end up in a newspaper or a magazine?

But it’s still somewhat ambiguous and after hearing it, I’m just not so sure this is the smoking gun the DOJ hopes it will be. It really depends on what the Trump defense will be.
