Casey DeSantis didn’t come right out and say she was running for governor of Florida today. In fact she was a bit dodgy on the issue, but in a clever way. This is really more what she didn’t say than what she did say.

Florida’s First Lady was asked today if she was running for governor to replace her husband next year, who is term-limited, and her response was to quote the great MLB player and coach, Yogi Berra:

Two things here. The conventional wisdom is that if she wasn’t going to run, she’d have said as much. The fact that she didn’t do that suggests she’s definitely considering it.

The unconventional wisdom is that she’s really just messing with the garbage media even though she knows she isn’t running.

Personally, I’m going with the former in hopes that she is at least seriously considering it, because I think she’d be great for the state of Florida.
