I noticed this last night, that some airports are having to have air traffic control duties rerouted to other nearby towers because of a shortage of air traffic controllers.

For instance, Nashville said today that they were notified by the FAA that flights would be reduced beginning earlier this afternoon because of this shortage of controllers:

In this case it says the reduction is ‘until further notice’. In other airports, the reduction is more temporary.

In any case, it’s all because of Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats shutting the government down. He’s trying to make his angry left-wing voters happy so he can beat AOC in 2028 when he’s up for re-election and get some traction against Trump. And also, because his left-wing base down earlier this year during the first CR, big time.
