Governor DeSantis isn’t waiting on the Biden administration to act to rescue stranded Americans in Israel. We told you last night that Biden’s state department was forcing rescuees sign promissory notes before they’d rescue them.
DeSantis just issued an executive order authorizing the rescue of 20,000 Americans in Israel, 1,000 of which he says are Floridians.
“Wow! Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida, issued an executive order to send airplanes to Israel to rescue the 20,000 Americans who are now stranded amid a war. About 1,000 of them are from Florida, his admin says. I asked his team if Florida will charge Americans for the flights like the Feds will, and they said NO!”
Here’s more via Arutz Sheva:
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed an order today (Thursday) authorizing rescue operations to bring Florida residents back from Israel and to provide supplies to Israel amidst the war started by the Hamas terrorist organization.
“Today I signed an executive order authorizing rescue operations in Israel to bring Floridians home and transport supplies to our allies. We will not leave our residents behind. To the many Floridians who are stuck in Israel, trying to get home — help is on the way,” DeSantis wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
DeSantis, a candidate for the GOP nomination for the 2024 presidential race, has been outspoken in his support of the State of Israel and his condemnation of Hamas following the massacre of over 1,300 Israelis by Hamas terrorists on Saturday.
On Wednesday, the Florida Governor announced legislation that would prohibit the state from doing business with companies that support Hamas and other terrorist organizations.
“In Florida, we don’t capitulate to state sponsors of terrorism. We sanction them. My legislative proposal ensures Florida will not do business with companies that support terrorist groups like Hamas. I urge other states to follow Florida’s lead,” he wrote on X.
What a great move by Governor DeSantis. I mean, fantastic. He will make a great president.
