Joe Biden’s hack Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm took a caravan of EVs on a four-day trip but didn’t expect that the police would be called on her staff.
According to the Daily Caller, when Granholm arrived in Grovetown, Georgia they needed a recharge and her advance team pulled into a fast-charging station to get things going. But three of the four stations were occupied and the other station was broken.
In an effort to secure a station for Granholm, one of her staffers pulled a gas guzzling non-EV by one of the stations to secure it for her when she arrived. But that blocked one family from charing their EV and they had a baby in the car on a very hot day. So they called the police.
A police officer arrived but was unable to do anything because there was no law against pulling a non-EV vehicle beside a charging station. In an effort to resolve the situation, “Granholm’s staffers eventually shuffled other vehicles to the slower chargers so that both the frustrated family and the secretary had room to charge.”
I wonder why they had gas vehicles on an EV trip. Could it be that, just in case something went wrong, they wanted a more reliable way to get Granholm to safety? Who knows, but this ordeal is just another reason why I won’t be getting an EV anytime soon. Sounds like too much trouble.
