Yesterday the news broke that ABC News and George Stephanopoulos will get the first interview with Joe Biden after his disastrous debate performance and it will air this weekend. The interview is part of a campaign by Joe Biden to rehabilitate his image.
But a big problem with this is that the debate will not be live.
Biden will do the interview on Friday (probably between 10am and 4pm) and it won’t air in full until Sunday:
ABC News announces the exclusive, first television interview with President Joe Biden following the presidential debate last week. The president will sit down on the campaign trail Friday with “Good Morning America” co-anchor and “This Week” anchor George Stephanopoulos. A first look of the interview will air Friday, July 5, on “World News Tonight with David Muir,” with portions airing on “Good Morning America” Saturday and Sunday as well. The extended interview will air Sunday, July 7, on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” and “Good Morning America” on Monday, July 8.
In other words they are going to jump cut out all the bad parts and make Biden looks as sharp as they can.
Seriously, who do they think they are fooling? Democrats are desperate to see Biden look sharp again but even they aren’t this stupid. The only way for Biden to begin repairing the damage (if that is even possible) is to do live interviews and press conferences without teleprompters.
A pre-recorded interview isn’t going to move the needle against last week’s LIVE debate, but I guarantee you some in the media will do their damnedest to gaslight Americans into believing that Biden is back or something…
