Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy got loud cheers and applause when he suggested they bring the painting of Christ on the Water out of the basement at the US Merchant Marine Academy.

According to Sanchin Jose, the “painting depicting Jesus with outstretched arms over a lifeboat of sailors” was “removed in 2023 under the Biden Administration following complaints from an atheist organization, which argued that its display in a mandatory-use room was inappropriate.”

Duffy is a devout Catholic and I’m so glad he doesn’t give a crap what these atheist organizations think! And it doesn’t shock me at all that he got loud cheers and applause for this. In fact, it’s quite refreshing!
