Surveillance video caught the moment a suspect dressed in a black hoodie sneaked up behind a 45-year-old man in a laundromat Wednesday night and used an object similar to a cane to hit the victim about the head several times, Metropolitan Nashville police said.

The victim fell to the floor after the first strike, and video appears to show the suspect hitting the victim seven more times before walking away.

Interestingly, police linked to video of the attack in their news release, but YouTube took down the video, saying it violates its "policy on violent or graphic content."

Here's the clip via Twitter:

The beatdown in the 1500 block of Dickerson Pike was one of four unprovoked attacks police believe the suspect perpetrated over the past week.

Police said he's a suspect in a March 16 attack on a 27-year-old man who was having car trouble on E Due West Avenue, a March 18 attack on a 32-year-old man outside a Citgo market in the 2700 block of Dickerson Pike, and a March 19 attack on a 31-year-old man who was jogging on Lischey Avenue.

The suspect may be driving a small silver SUV, police added.

Police said detectives from the Violent Crimes Division & the East Precinct's Community Field Intelligence Team arrested the suspected attacker — 32-year-old Khadree Renfro — Thursday night on Pennock Avenue. Police added that Renfro was booked on three counts of attempted criminal homicide, and his bond Friday morning was set at $150,000.

Records indicate Renfro on Nov. 1, 2019, was charged with felony aggravated assault (strangulation) and felony vandalism over $1,000. Both cases were "retired" less than a week later.

A number of Twitter users weren't too happy with Renfro, the bond set for him, or sitting authorities:
