‘It’s a depressing and frightening time — but not necessarily for me,” Rich writes on the homepage today. America may be beset by “ongoing occasions for distress and disbelief,” including but not limited to border abdication, trans insanity, the assault on the Founding, and the continuing depredations of China. But he is heartened by the institution of National Review and those of us affiliated with it, who rise daily to confront these and other challenges.
I share Rich’s worries, but also the deep succor he derives from this institution. It is truly a relief to know that National Review is pushing back against the tumult of the day. But we cannot do it — have never been able to do it — without your support. So please consider making an essential contribution to National Review (not tax deductible), to National Review Institute (tax deductible), or to both. Both would benefit from your generosity. And all of us are grateful for it as we continue our work.
