Former president Donald Trump is scheduled to rally this Sunday in Las Vegas, Nev., a crucial battleground state that he lost in 2016 and 2020 where he is currently polling comfortably ahead of President Joe Biden.
Sunday’s rally will mark one of Trump’s first major public appearances since his felony conviction last week and will come one day after the presumptive GOP nominee is set to make an appearance at a June 8 fundraiser in Las Vegas, first reported by National Review in April. The high-dollar fundraiser will be hosted by Ahern Rentals chief executive Don Ahern, Nevada Republican Club president Pauline Lee, and Ahern Luxury Boutique Hotel president Shane McFarland, among others, according to the event invitation.
Co-host George Harris, a retired Nevada businessman, told NR last month that he and his friends are hoping to rake in $15 million for the Trump 47 joint fundraising committee by this weekend — no small sum for a Trump campaign that is racking in jaw-dropping amounts of cash after last week’s jury verdict.
