NextImg:The Corner: Sometimes, Biden’s Just Fine with ‘Power in the Hands of a Very Few Ultra-Wealthy People’

President Joe Biden, January 4, speaking at the White House:

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is awarded to George Soros.  Born into a Jewish family in Hungary, George Soros escape Nazi occupation to build a life of freedom for himself and countless others around the world.  Educated in England, he settled in America as he became an investor and philanthropist, supporting key pillars of open societies: rights and justice, equity and equality, freedom now and in the future.  His inspiring generosity reminds us all of our capacity and our obligation to stand up to the abuse of power and to be guardians of democracy and all people yearning to be free.

Soros has a net worth of more than $7 billion and since the year 2000, his vast network of organizations has donated nearly $21 billion to left-wing causes, organizations nad candidates, as of 2023.

President Biden in his farewell address, last night:

I want to warn the country of some things that give me great concern. And this is a dangerous — and that’s the dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra-wealthy people, and the dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked. Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedoms and a fair shot for everyone to get ahead.

We have to be wary about “dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra-wealthy people” and “extreme wealth, power and influence,” unless it’s George Soros, in which case we give him the country’s highest honor.
