Noah, you ask what Kamala Harris is trying to say. And I think what’s important is that it is time for us to agree that there are things available to us, to . . . look, when you think about it, airplanes are the way we express our desire — and it is a desire, a real desire, a meaningful desire — to travel, when we need to live out our hope to transport ourselves from one place to another, which you know, airplanes are kind of a fancy, from the perspective of Venn diagrams, which I love, and yet it’s interesting that “airplane” is one word that contains two words and has many meanings, because what it’s ultimately about isn’t the air, but the ground. The air is important as part of the journey, which is why it’s an “airplane” not a “groundplane,” but as Doug and I often observe, what matters is the getting there, the arriving, the not being where you were before, and part of the issue there is making sure that you determine where you are going, which will help predict where you end up.
