In many ways, we are still a country that hasn’t even begun to adjust to life after Roe v. Wade and what it means for our politics, communities, families, and individual lives. What more can we do? It’s basically a daily examination of conscience for those of us who want to see women be free from overwhelming pressure to abort their unborn babies, for a start.
I talked recently with two Sisters of Life about this:
I should have shared this early and often, but if you are in the New York area and interested in some inspiration and direction on how to better put your talents to use to build a culture of life, the Catholic Respect Life Office in New York is hosting an event on Saturday in Yonkers (not too far from Manhattan, even closer to the Bronx and other parts of Westchester).
The same Sisters of Life I talk with in the video run the office and have organized the day. I’ll be speaking briefly on communicating about life.
More information on this Called & Gifted for Life Formation Day here.
It’s this Saturday, so the official registration deadline is passed, but they tell me there are still some seats — e-mail respect.life@archny.org and feel free to mention I sent you. There will be Mass, lunch, and opportunities for listening and fellowship. Some pro-life leaders from around the area will be in attendance. And, please do say hello if you make it.
And, together, let’s commit to refresh and renew helping vulnerable life and families as priorities. And if your community has a successful approach or testimony, please holler anytime. I’m klopez@nationalreview.com.
