It doesn’t bode well for the future that political violence is meeting a real double standard whether it is deemed to the left or the right. We saw recently that Nicholas Roske, who plotted to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanagh in 2022, got a reduced sentence, which the judge explained was due to Roske’s newly adopted status as “trans,” which put Roske at supposed risk in prison.
Now the New York Post reports that the two teenagers charged with assaulting a DOGE employee, Edward “Big Balls” Coristine, avoided prison. The assault was combined with an attempted carjacking. Coristine was left with a concussion and a broken nose, along with a terrified female companion. Two of the minors charged, both 15 years of age, were given sentences of twelve and nine months’ probation, respectively.
Meanwhile Adolfo Martinez is still serving his 15-year imprisonment for taking and burning a pride flag from a local church. And Paul Pelosi’s attacker received a life sentence without parole.
