For years, you shouted, “Joe Biden, resign!” He apparently thought you said, “Joe Biden, re-sign!”
Former president Joe Biden re-signed with Creative Artists Agency for representation; they represented him from 2017 to 2020 while he was out of office. The agency boasts:
While a CAA client from 2017 to 2020, President Biden published his number one New York Times bestselling memoir, PROMISE ME, DAD, launched the 42-date AMERICAN PROMISE tour, which sold more than 85,000 tickets nationwide, and headlined numerous speaking engagements.
“President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs,” said Richard Lovett, Co-Chairman of CAA. “His lifelong commitment to public service is one of unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility. We are profoundly honored to partner with him again.”
A few weeks ago, Axios reported Biden planned on writing a post-presidential memoir, “giving him an opportunity to try and shape the narrative around his presidency and the tumultuous weeks leading to his historic withdrawal from the 2024 race.”
Biden will no doubt sign a high-dollar book deal, but color me skeptical that there is a ravenous appetite for a ghostwritten litany of excuses and outlandish claims that if Biden had remained in the race, he would have won. Nor do I think a book tour in the coming year or two would sell 85,000 tickets. Nor do I think Biden has the energy to do a 42-date book tour. It’s fair to wonder how many more times we will see Biden, live and in person, at public events.
