Mossad operatives embedded in Iran attacked its missile defense system as the mission to destroy the jihadist regime’s nuclear program began.
One can only marvel at the intelligence prowess of the Mossad and Israel’s other intelligence services. We noted that a number of times last year, particularly in connection with Operation Grim Beeper, in which thousands of beepers, walkie-talkies, and other communications devices that Israel had covertly loaded with explosives were ingeniously assigned to Hezbollah jihadists and detonated, killing and wounding well over a thousand of them.
Shortly before that, on July 31, the Israelis managed to assassinate the then-emir of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran. He was there to attend the inauguration of Iran’s new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, but was killed by an explosive device, likely detonated by the Mossad from inside Iran, while Haniyeh was staying in a guest house under the protection of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.
In preparation for last night’s long anticipated start of military operations to destroy Iran’s nuclear program, or at least deeply degrade it, the Wall Street Journal reports that Israel’s intelligence services managed to smuggle explosive drones and other guided weapons into Iran. As the IAF aerial attacks commenced, Mossad operatives embedded in Iran launched their arsenal to dismantle Iran’s air-defense system (which Israel had substantially neutralized last year). For all the jihadist regime’s huffing and puffing, this has largely eradicated its capacity for countermeasures.
