NextImg:The Corner: Help Us Get to 50!

As I write this, our handy donation meter tells us we’re 42 percent of the way toward our $100,000 webathon goal. For the math-disinclined, that’s 42 grand — a heartwarming combination of contributions big and small.

Thank you.

But that means we’ve still got some ground to make up to reach our goal. As we enter this last full week before the holiday, we’re hoping y’all can help us get to $50,000, and maybe even a bit better, by the end of the day.

This webathon has focused in large part on the excesses of the trans movement, especially with regard to medical gender transitions for kids — and on NR’s efforts to expose the painful reality of these procedures. You can read about our work on this front here, here, and here.

But you get it. We know that. Already, readers have demonstrated their overwhelming generosity and support. We’re always amazed how you come through during these donation drives, realizing that you’d probably rather read something other than a fundraising pitch.

Nearly 500 people have given already — and left some nice notes in the process.

Harry, a self-described loyal Editors listener, puts up a hundred, with kind words for Charlie Cooke: “Thank you National Review for the vital work that you are doing to bring the USA and the world back to some semblance of sanity.” Thank you.

Another Harry writes: “Don’t emmentalize the escargot.” Okay, that’s a very “in” joke — well played.

On a more serious note, some readers have written just to tell us how the aforementioned ideology has affected their own families, in difficult ways.

We plan to continue standing up for truth in this fight, as Michael Brendan Dougherty writes on the homepage today. Please, help us do it.
