So, while we’ve been busy tallying Supreme Court victories, France has had several nights of rioting, and it is reminding many of the scenes from 2005, what can only be called France’s first wave of racial riots.

But I see Emmanuel Macron has blamed “video games and bad parenting” for the riots. Macron has called for social-media censorship. And he is deploying 45,000 police officers across the country tonight to bring it to an end. 

Eric Zemmour, the French Algerian-Jewish rightist. has called the riots worse than 2005 and hinted that this is the start of a civil war, with the main factor being the number of immigrants. We’ll certainly be watching with interest.
