Iranian proxies striking U.S.-linked targets need to be destroyed, <span class="small_caps">National Review</span>&nbsp;senior editor Charles C. W. Cooke said on <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/podcasts/the-editors/a-romp-in-iowa/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">today’s <em>Editors</em> podcast</a>.

“The world is often a dangerous place. People do bad things in it,” Cooke said. “They fly planes into buildings and they invade their neighbors. . . . And this is an age-old problem.”

Cooke reminded listeners that the Houthi-driven escalation in the Middle East wasn’t instigated by the U.S. “We were quite happy to send those shipping containers around the world,” he said.

“We’re trying to get on with our lives peacefully, and they’re interrupting it,” Cooke argued. “And if the consequence of us dealing with it is that they escalate it, then we escalate it further until we blow them out of the water. It’s just very simple.”
