I’m a Wes Anderson fan — in fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever disliked anything he’s done. So I was looking forward to his latest, Asteroid City.

I’d say it’s mid-range Wes Anderson — visually interesting if overly stylized, characteristic to the point of parody, meandering and slow at times, but still and all, charming enough to make up for all the flaws, with a subtle but meaningful message.

In short, I liked it, but I’m an easy mark.
