U.S. Capitol Police at last night’s Congressional Baseball Game didn’t take any chances, security-wise, when climate activists stormed the field. Within 60 seconds of rushing the field, the perps were lying facedown in the dirt.
Eight Climate Defiance activists were arrested, and though none were injured, the group posted on social media, “We were brutalized tonight — beaten and bruised as we took over the Congressional Baseball Game. Our bodies are bloodied but our spirits are unmoved. We will build a better world. We will rise again. We will prevail. Just you wait.”
The “takeover” was much more of a “takedown.” Viewers didn’t even get a chance to read the writing on activists’ shirts before they were escorted off the field. This reporter could only tell that the protest was climate-related due to activists’ sullen, malnourished appearance, hallmark of vegans. Just after the activists were arrested, Republicans led the stadium in a “USA” chant. Cops handed the eight activists federal charges: “Interference with a Member of the U.S. Capitol Police.”
Pro-Hamas freaks also threatened to take over Wednesday’s game. They tried. As climate activists stormed the field, anti-Israel individuals, who had infiltrated the Republican side of the stadium, began to wave Palestinian flags and call for a “cease-fire now.” The individuals were immediately booed out of their section and escorted out of the game. Some masked anti-American protesters in the Democrats’ section also screamed “free Palestine!” during the national anthem, but thankfully, the sounds of freedom drowned out pro-terrorist shill. They, too, were escorted from the game.
It was a successful night for the Capitol Police, who kept America’s favorite pastime free of terrorists and annoying activists. Security is typically on high alert at Congressional Baseball Games, due in part to a mass shooting that occurred at a congressional baseball practice in 2017. Crazed shooter James Hodgkinson shot, almost fatally, Steve Scalise and three others. The act was “fueled by rage against Republican legislators,” the Virginia attorney general concluded, and the Capitol Police saved the lives of many Republicans and staffers that day. Former representative Mo Brooks (R., Ala.) and Representative Brad Wenstrup (R., Ohio) administered life-saving care to Scalise.
Scalise and Wenstrup were both on the field last night helping Republicans achieve a 31-11 win over Democrats — Republicans’ fourth win in a row. Representatives also raised $2.2 million for charity.
