NextImg:The Corner: A University Gets Sued over Its Unchecked DEI Programs

Faculty and administrators who play any role in a university’s DEI apparatus are often zealots who feel the need to push their divisive ideas down the throats of everyone else. They’ve completely bought into the “white privilege” lunacy and target white faculty members for “diversity training.”

At Penn State Abington, they’ve gone too far and now have to face a battle in court. I write about the case in today’s Martin Center article.

Zack De Piero, a white English professor, had to tolerate repeated and increasingly nasty DEI programs, materials, and comments over a span of two years. He was told that “white teachers are the problem.” He was told to grade students not objectively, but based on race. When he complained about his treatment, he was retaliated against. So he sued.

Remarkably, the judge in the case, an Obama appointee, did not grant the school’s motion to dismiss on the key claim that it had violated the law by creating a hostile work environment. She reasoned that De Piero had made a sufficiently compelling argument on that score for the case to go to trial.

Penn State should be very worried and so should all the many other colleges and universities where DEI true believers ceaselessly promote their ideology. If De Piero wins, they will have to rein in the zealots.
