The test launch of the SpaceX Starship spacecraft ended in disaster Thursday morning after the rocket exploded in mid-air.

Minutes after leaving the launch pad on South Padre Island, Texas, the 400-foot rocket, touted by SpaceX as “the tallest and most powerful rocket ever built,” exploded.
