King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrived in France on Wednesday, September 20, for their first official visit since their accession to the throne. The British royals were welcomed by French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne at Orly airport, south of Paris. The state visit, which will last for three days, is meant to celebrate the rekindling of the French-British friendship.
For the start of their visit, the royals first went to the Champs-Elysées for a ceremony to rekindle the flame of the Unknown Soldier at the Arc de Triomphe. Then, they went to the Elysée Palace for a meeting with President Emmanuel Macron. In the evening, they will attend a sumptuous state dinner held at Versailles.
