On July 20, the Israeli army announced it was expanding its military operations "in an area where it has not operated before," in the southwest of Deir al-Balah. That latest evacuation order further shrank the area in which Palestinians can survive. Now, only 12% of the territory of the Palestinian enclave is free from an evacuation order or Israeli military presence.

Le Monde, through a map and satellite footage, shows the daily life of the 2.1 million Palestinians now forced to live in three fragmented zones of the enclave, under precarious conditions and without access to basic necessities.
