The real boss of 2024 is, for the moment, more discreet. His name is Jensen Huang and he is the founder of Nvidia. In just one year, his firm, which produces electronic circuit boards and software, has become the real winner of the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution. Throughout the year, sales and earnings have more than doubled every quarter. This Monday, January 6, its market capitalization broke records again, at over $3.6 trillion (€3.45 trillion). Only Apple can keep up with it at this altitude.

It's easy to see why crowds flocked to the Las Vegas Convention Center early that same day to hear him open the Consumer Electronics Show. This time, he swapped his eternal black leather jacket for a particularly flashy model. "After all, we're in Las Vegas," he quipped, as if to apologize for this departure from his cooler, very Silicon Valley style. Is he getting cocky?
