SEX ACCORDING TO MAÏA
Even on vacation, there never seems to be time for anything. For our libido, this is disastrous: There's no room for imagination, we forget our bodies and we run around like a chicken with its head cut off. As American screenwriter Allen Saunders once said: "Life is what happens to us while we are making other plans." So this week, let's lighten the schedule. Let's forget the goals. Let's burn the to-do list. And let's enjoy ourselves, for heaven's sake (that Netflix series will still be there tomorrow, not to mention the overwhelming flow of social media).
Inspiration: Do you remember the niksen trend that was everywhere in magazines in 2019? If you've forgotten, that's normal. Trends promoting laziness tend, paradoxically, to move very quickly. Niksen is a Dutch lifestyle concept that involves doing absolutely nothing (imagine a Sunday, or a public holiday in the month of August while under tranquilizers). You are allowed to look at the scenery or knit, but only on the condition that you have no objective. Standing by the window to count poplar trees is out of the question, and don't even think about darning your socks. Apparently, this practice soothes anxiety, helps prevent burnout and allows you to reconnect with yourself.
