

More than 100 people were wounded after a new series of explosions took place in Lebanon on Wednesday afternoon, September 18. Walkie-talkies belonging to Hezbollah members were involved this time, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP), citing a source close to the movement and rescue workers. AFP correspondents reported explosions in Saïda, in the south of the country, and Baalbeck, in the east.
According to Reuters, citing a source close to the security services and witnesses, the explosions occurred in the late afternoon in southern Lebanon and in the southern suburbs of Beirut. At least one of these explosions occurred during the funeral of victims from the previous day.
Three people have been killed in Sohmor, in the Bekaa plain, reported the Lebanese National News Agency, citing a correspondent there.
The Lebanese Red Cross announced that it has mobilized 30 ambulance teams in response to "multiple explosions in different areas" on Wednesday.
