

A small synthetic note is answered by the twinkling of a tiny light. Then, all of a sudden, the organ pomp of "Genesis" – the opening track of the concert, also the title track of Justice's first album – draws up giant beams of light as if emanating from a spaceship.
If Patti Smith said she wanted to combine the rage of rock with the power of words, Justice fuses the dynamics of electro with the theatricality of lighting. And they gave a dazzling demonstration on Tuesday, December 17, when the French duo Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé played to a full house at the Accor Arena in Paris.
Released on April 26, Hyperdrama, their fourth album, brought a band that has become the most iconic incarnation of French touch since the breakup of Daft Punk back at the top. Combining robotic power, disco groove and effective pop melodies, carried by guests such as Tame Impale demiurge Kevin Parker, the record rallied the faithful as much as a new generation of fans. In the process, it earned two nominations at the forthcoming Grammy Awards (in the categories of Best Dance/Electronic Album for Hyperdrama and Best Dance/Electronic Song for "Neverender" with Tame Impala).
