The uncontrollable fire, nicknamed the "Park Fire," raging in Northern California, has become in three days one of the largest ever recorded in this western state. The fire broke out on Wednesday, July 24 near Chico, in Butte County. In the space of a few hours, it devastated several hundred thousand hectares there, as well as in neighboring Tehama County. For the moment, it is only 10% under control, despite the efforts of 3,700 people, more than a dozen helicopters and several aircraft.
