President-elect Donald Trump announced on Tuesday, November 12, the nomination of Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the new department of “government efficiency” in his incoming administration.
With this latest nomination, Trump has signaled his intent to reshape Washington by bringing in outsiders who share his commitment to disrupting the established political order. Musk, who famously once tweeted, "I prefer staying out of politics," now finds himself in a uniquely influential role, tasked with overhauling the very system he has long critiqued.
"Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies - Essential to the 'Save America' Movement," Trump said in a statement.
