NextImg:Satanic Temple stages ‘Let Us Burn’ tour to protest Christian
TPUSA contributor Sean Feucht

Lucien Greaves, co-founder and spokesperson for The Satanic Temple, has announced that his band, Satanic Planet, is vowing to perform at the same public venues that have accommodated TPUSA Faith Contributor Sean Feucht.

TPUSA Faith recently partnered with Feucht’s “Let Us Worship” concert tour in an ambitious effort to perform at every single state capitol in America. Feucht has performed in several Capitol buildings thus far, gaining heavy criticism from anti-religious groups.

The Satanic Temple has openly criticized Feucht’s efforts to perform on Capitol grounds. According to the Temple’s spokesperson, “[Feucht] has his opinions, and we have ours, but one thing the government can not do is preference his viewpoint over ours by giving him exclusive access to perform a concert on the Capitol grounds.

Regarding his past performance at the Capitol, Sean Feucht posted to Twitter“Wait until all the woke pastors and leftist liberals find out the U.S. Capitol was once used as a church.”

To protest against Feucht’s tour, a band associated with The Satanic Temple, which includes their spokesperson Lucien Greaves, is starting their own concert tour similar to Feucht’s. The band “Satanic Planet” has stated that it will attempt to perform at the same public venues that have accommodated Feucht. The group claims that it should be allowed to perform at the same state capitols “in the name of pluralism and religious liberty.”

The band’s first album debuted in 2021 and features the single “Baphomet.” Their ceremonial live shows draw Satanists from across the country and incorporate “unbaptisms” into their performances.

The band’s concert tour will be called “Let Us Burn,” a parody of Feucht’s “Let Us Worship” campaign. The group is asking for donations to afford the costs of performing at the same state capitols that Feucht has.

We will not be able to sell tickets to the capitol grounds, we will surely draw protests, the stage and sound will likely be difficult, and the cost will not be insignificant. That said, however, we can not stand by idly as theocratic extremists are given such an elevated public platform to spread their divisive message without reminding everybody that that stage is equally theirs as well. Feucht seeks to use the stage to announce a theocratic stranglehold over the United States government, and we seek to rectify that by re-establishing pluralism.”

The band has stated that if their request to perform at a Capitol building is denied, then the money raised will be used for the “legal battle that will follow.”
