Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec covered breaking news live during Tuesday’s broadcast, informing his audience that Kyiv has reached an agreement with the Trump White House on a deal to jointly develop Ukraine's mineral resources, including oil and gas. Ukrainian officials believe this agreement will strengthen ties with the Trump administration and pave the way for a long-term U.S. security commitment, according to the Financial Times.

Ukrainian officials confirmed that the deal is now ready for signing after the U.S. dropped its previous demand for a right to $500 billion in potential revenue from the exploitation of these resources. While the agreement does not include explicit security guarantees, they argued that the terms negotiated are far more favorable than earlier proposals.

“So, Zelensky wants to come to the United States in the coming weeks. I haven’t had a lot of time to look over the term sheet on this, although I have to say it looks remarkably similar to the term sheet that we saw in Ukraine when I was there with Secretary Bessent two weeks ago to really kick this all off. We’re going to be talking about that…” Posobiec said, reacting to the breaking news.

During his visit, Posobiec met with key officials, including the Ukrainian Prime Minister, members of the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance, and representatives at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv. He also visited President Zelensky at his presidential complex. "As you know, Secretary Bessent held his meeting with President Zelensky, where they discussed the situation with rare earth minerals and the deal Zelensky had offered to President Trump regarding a potential peace agreement between the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine to end the war," Posobiec said.

Later in the show, Posobiec touched on the cancelling of Joy Reid’s show, jokingly saying that he was “so sad” that Reid was left “jobless after nature left her hairless.”

“You were there for me in 2016 when no one knew who I was. Long before I had even 10,000 followers, you put me on your show, Joy.”

Posobiec also joked that he would offer Reid a job “employment, gainful employment, because we know through work comes dignity. We’re going to offer you, Joy Reid, a roll here on Human Events Daily as a junior producer,” he continued. 

“You’re going to have to start at the bottom up, this is new media, not corporate media. We don’t just hand out things like Harvard hands out their DEI degrees. You’re going to have to work, show up on time, you’re going to have to cut clips for us,” Posobiec said, inviting Reid to the DC area to come for a joy. “We’re going to call you Junior Joy."
