WASHINGTON, Pa. — The White House has unveiled its Holiday Display.

President Joe Biden’s Washington residence has been festooned in Christmas decorations “to capture the pure, unfiltered delight and imagination of childhood”.

The annual tradition encourages visitors to reflect on this time of year with hearts open to the “Magic, Wonder, and Joy” of the season.

First Lady Jill Biden, who unveiled the holiday décor Monday, commented: “For this year’s holidays at the White House, our theme is inspired by how children experience this festive season: completely present in the beauty and bounty around them, their senses alight, with hearts open to the “Magic, Wonder, and Joy” of the season.

“We look forward to welcoming thousands of visitors to the White House — “The People’s House” — during the holidays. May the memories made this holiday season remind us all of the blessing that is our Nation,” she added.

In describing the display, the White House says: “In this season of reflection and goodwill, we hope you will embrace your inner child and delight in simply being present with those you love.

“It is a time for our senses to awaken—for each of us to smell the aroma of favorite family recipes, to hear the warmth of a dear friend’s voice, to see the glow of lights and decorations, to taste the sweetness of candies and treats, and to feel the quiet stillness and strength of faith,” read the statement from the White House.
