At the start of last week, Jimmy Kimmel uncorked a huge lie. He is known for many things, but truth telling, objectivity, and maintaining perspective are not among them. Using one of the world’s biggest platforms, in other words, hosting the Oscars, Kimmel offered a based-faced lie that made his fellow Leftists very happy.
Focusing on Tucker Carlson, late in the Academy Awards show last night, Kimmel lampooned the Fox News host without actually naming him. Kimmel implied that Carlson has cherry-picked film footage to reveal that the J6 protest event was largely peaceful – which, among hundreds of thousands of protestors, it largely was.
A Liar for the Ages
As he introduced the category of the film editing, Kimmel impudently said, “Anyone who’s ever received a text message from their father knows how important editing is. Editors do amazing things. Editors can turn 44,000 hours of violent insurrection footage into a respectful sight-seeing tour of the Capitol.”
In lock step, the woke-filled audience offered long and resounding laughter and applause. If we step back, however, the absurdity of Kimmel’s quip becomes obvious: Has Kimmel watched even 1,000 of the 44,000 hours? 100 hours? 10 hours? Even 1 hour of footage that was not cherry-picked by the J6 Select Committee?
Does Kimmel have any idea that the J6 Committee engaged in highly selective film editing of their own? Does he know that committee member Bennie Thompson recently confirmed that committee members did not watch the footage and that they delegated they assignment to their various staffs?
A Favor to History
Did Kimmel not hear Tucker Carlson say many times that the film footage he was airing was simply offering a more balanced view off what occurred? And that numerous times Carlson has said that rioters or vandalizers should be dealt with accordingly?
Has Kimmel not learned that the DC Metropolitan Police and U.S. Capitol Police intentionally heightened tensions that day by launching flash grenades, tear gas, and rubber bullets into the otherwise peaceful crowd, pushing them in the direction of the Capitol entrance?
When House Speaker Kevin McCarthy yielded the surveillance footage to Carlson, McCarthy did the nation, the world, and history a great favor. Without such an act, we would only have the J6 Committee version of what transpired. Their version, indeed their entire proceedings, was nothing but cherry-picking.
Don’t tell that to Jimmy Kimmel, the Oscar audience, or Leftist everywhere, however. They “know” what the saw, and they are quite content to let their lie-filled narrative reign supreme.
FBI Operative in Abundance
Does Kimmel know that scores of government operatives deftly blended in with the crowd and that they intentionally emulated the dress and demeanor of Trump supporters? Does he know that Ray Epps and other encouraged the crowd to become rowdy and force their way into the Capitol? Does he know that Epps bragged about his role to his nephew afterward?
Does Kimmel know that the J6 Committee declined to grill Epps about his role. Indeed, they let him off the hook, unlike what they did with hundreds of others, namely civilians, who played lessor roles.
Shockingly, does Kimmel and his approving audience give a rat’s ass about the lawful treatment of those who have been accused? This is supposed to be the United States of America, the land of the free and the home of the brave; the nation which immigrants from around the world yearn to reach; the beacon of democracy and the shining example on Earth of a free people in a free land.
Sacred Rights
America was founded based on a constitution and amendments that guarantee rights to the individual; a republic where laws prevail, to be dispensed impartially; where unlawful search and seizure is not permitted; and where due process matters. Despite all of this, the J6 Committee and the Biden Administration have acted in ways unprecedented in our history. It is treating those people who inhabited the U.S. Capitol on January 6th as if they are murderous terrorists.
The people that Biden is holding, in some cases for months, and now years, in solitary confinement, are being denied their fundamental rights as American citizens.
It is only fitting that justice is served before and during the legal proceedings for any of the incarcerated. The Biden Administration and it’s incalculably undemocratic, unlawful, and despicable approach to administering ‘justice’ is stifling attempts to ensure that these incarcerated individuals receive lawful and constitutional protections.
Joe Biden, a political puppet, and his handlers, know full well about the kind of treasonous behavior in which they are engaged. They feel all-powerful however, and they are not concerned. They’ve got Jimmy Kimmel, the Oscar audience, the sycophantic press, and multi-millions of gullible Democrats, liberals, and progressives on their side.
