During his "My Take," Monday, "Varney & Co." host Stuart Varney questioned Biden's wartime leadership, arguing the Afghanistan "debacle," Ukraine invasion, and his effort to revive Iran's nuclear deal are reasons to doubt our nation's political leadership.

: In a time of war you rally around the commander in chief

When American lives are at stake, you tone down the criticism.

You don't want to encourage the enemy. Fair enough.

But toning it down doesn't mean you dismiss the anxiety. It doesn't mean you give leadership a free ride.

It's hard to say this, but America's leadership is in question at every level.

We're getting the exact opposite of leadership from House Republicans

Who has confidence in a GOP that can't agree on a speaker?

You can't lead when you're being laughed at.

On the other side of the aisle leadership, the Democrat Party seems to be drifting towards the "Squad." They support Hamas.

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., has never corrected her lie that Israel bombed the hospital in Gaza.

Leadership doesn't lie to gain ethnic advantage.

The leader of the Republicans in the Senate is Mitch McConnell.

He's had health problems. Twice, he's blanked out in public. He is 81.

The vice president isn't leading.

Kamala Harris has been shunted off on a college tour and issues platitudes on the war.

Leadership doesn't waffle, and it shouldn't laugh at everything.

This brings us to President Biden

He is our wartime leader, and he is struggling to confront our enemies.

He failed to show leadership early in his presidency.

The Afghanistan debacle. The Ukraine invasion. Trying to revive the Iran nuke deal.

Our enemies are not afraid of Biden's America.

Leadership at every level is in question, even in this time of war.

It's wartime and our instinct is to rally around the flag, but leadership is in question.
