U.S. — The United States officially celebrated the first anniversary of former President Joe Biden announcing that he had finally defeated Medicare once and for all.

Now widely known now as "VM Day" for "Victory Over Medicare", the nation took the day to pause and honor Biden beating the government-sponsored insurance for the elderly and disabled.

"I'll never forget where I was when I heard the news," said local woman Susan Marsh. "I never believed in my wildest dreams that Medicare could fall. I'm watching Biden on the stage in Atlanta, and somewhere in the midst of all the mumbling, I hear it: We. Beat. Medicare. Tears came pouring out, I was so shocked and overjoyed. It was such a surreal moment."

At publishing time, Biden had reportedly celebrated his momentous accomplishment by beating a pint of mint chocolate chip with a fork.
