ORLANDO, FL — Sources close to one local man said that the lifelong Republican was "really regretting" the Trump-Musk back tattoo he got in January.

According to Tommy Clay, getting a tattoo of President Donald Trump and Elon Musk's faces in a large heart on his back last week was "a really unfortunate decision."

"I guess I didn't really think ahead," said Clay. "I got it inked right after the inauguration, and everything seemed so great. Then things all blew up over the 'Big, Beautiful Bill.' I really thought they were going to be together for the long run. And now I can't go shirtless at the beach anymore without looking like a total idiot. This is even worse than my Kim and Kanye tattoo."

According to several friends, Clay had been "absolutely sure" that Trump and Musk were going to be a thing forever when he got his tattoo. "He was always going on about how perfect they were together," said Jack Bernson, one of Clay's friends. "This split has really devastated him. On the bright side, at least he'll stop showing it to everyone at parties."

Clay's wife, Stacy, said that she had warned him. "I told him," Regina commented. "Everybody knows that you don't get a full-back tattoo of an unstable couple until they've been together for at least a year. I've been saying that a breakup was imminent ever since January."

At publishing time, Clay was supremely confident that his upcoming Taylor Swift-Travis Kelco tattoo would be the one that would stand the test of time.
