BERLIN — Following the unusual incident in which President Donald Trump was spotted taking a walk on top of the White House, a group of historians warned that the infamous leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, had also once stood on a roof.
The historical scholars advised that everyone should be wary of what the future may bring under Trump's administration, as the leader of the Third Reich displayed unsettling similarities, including once standing on the roof of a building.
"We've seen this type of behavior before," said Dr. Rupert Haasgarten, who brought the disturbing historical event to the public's attention. "If Trump is walking on a roof just like Hitler did, what other things will he do that are just like Hitler? It's a terrifying question to which I'm not sure the world wants to learn the answer. What I'm trying to say is that Trump is Hitler."
The account of the Nazi leader standing on a roof, known to historians as Hitler's "Roofenwälken," involved the German Führer allegedly taking a casual stroll on top of the Reichstag building in 1939, when the buildup to World War 2 was reaching a fevered pitch. "It was a chilling date in world history," Haasgarten said. "As the story goes, Hitler stood on the roof while making the final decision to invade Poland, which officially started the war. One can only assume what horrible thing Trump was planning as he stood on top of the White House."
At publishing time, Dr. Haasgarten had also warned that, like Hitler before him, President Trump enjoyed eating eggs for breakfast.
The Washington Commanders aren't the only sports team in Trump's crosshairs.
