INDIANAPOLIS, IN — With all the ongoing controversy over inappropriate items being thrown onto the court during basketball games, a local family struggled to answer their grandmother's question about why everyone is talking about the WNBA these days.

The question was reportedly asked at a gathering this morning, as the Jurgens family was discussing yet another incident that occurred Thursday night when someone threw an obscene object onto the court once again during a game between the Atlanta Dream and the Chicago Sky. Grandma Ethel Jurgens, witnesses said, wanted to know what all the fuss was about.

"Why is everyone talking about the WNBA now? Nobody ever talked about the WNBA before," she said. "From what I've seen of those games, I can't imagine why anyone would spend any time talking about them. Is there something happening during the games that is causing a stir? What is it?"

Family members later reported a prolonged, awkward pause as they tried to come up with a way to explain the situation to their grandmother. "Uh, well, Grandma," her grandson, Eric, answered. "There have been some fans who have been… throwing some things onto the court during the games."

"Throwing things? Like garbage?" Ethel asked.

"Not really," Eric said. "They're… items."

"Items?" she pressed. "Like what?"

"What happened on Matlock today, Grandma?" Eric interjected.

"Matlock? Oh, my goodness, it was a good one," Ethel said, averting crisis by getting sidetracked.

At publishing time, the Jurgens family had reportedly called a family meeting to come up with what they would tell Grandma if she asked who Sydney Sweeney was.
